Annette's Diary

December 2009

We have had a busy first weekend with the Christmas Trees so it's starting to feel like Christmas. I'm rushing around trying to get organised with all the Christmas orders, it's always difficult trying to judge what we need in the shop.

Laura is working on the Bavarian Night and planning everything, that involves a huge task.

David, Aaron and I went down to the Welsh winter fair again this year which is a cattle, sheep and pig show and very busy it was too. We wanted to search out two new bulls for our herd of polled (no horns) Welsh blacks because our two bulls are now related to all our younger females.

We were very fortunate and found just what we were looking for so in January we will have to make another trip down to South Wales to collect them – more details of them in January. Unfortunately it means we will have to sell the two bulls we have so we will advertise them for sale after Christmas.
