Ingredients
You will need:
2 lean pork chops or steaks
Butter
50g (2oz) Mushrooms
5ml (1 tsp) Black Peppercorns
30ml (2 tbsp) Soft cream cheese
45ml (3 tbsp) Milk
30ml (2 tbsp) Dry white wine
Preheat the grill and cook the pork chops or steaks for 8 - 10
minutes each side, or cook in the oven for around 30 minutes at Gas Mark 4 -
5/180 degrees C.
To make the sauce, add a small knob of butter to a pan and
melt. Add the sliced mushrooms, and cook for 1 - 2
minutes. Add the crushed black peppercorns and dry
white wine, and cook off the juices from the bottom o f the pan
with the wine.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the soft cream cheese,
and the milk. Return to the heat and warm gently,
stirring to make a creamy sauce for approximately 1 minute.
Serve with some Field Fare Roasting Vegetables, and creamy
mashed potatos.
